Father Of NYSC Member That Died In Kano Sues Federal Government For N100 Million


​Ifedolapo Rachael Oladepo, reportedly died after a brief illness while at the Kanostate National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in January 2017. Several months later, her father, Mr Wale Oladepo, who earlier reached out to the Federal Government for help in investigating the cause of his daughter’s death, has decided to sue them.

The retired civil servant Mr. Wale Oladepo, had granted an interview where he accused the management of the NYSC ofmaking plans to prevent his daughter from getting justice. He also said the NYSC was ignoring a report by the preliminary investigative panel concerning his daughter’s death.

Mr Oladepo has now taken his case to the Federal High Court, suing the FG and asking for N100m in damages for the death of his daughter who was a first class student of Transport Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
