OAU Medical Student Dies after 6 Days in Coma Following Car Crash

Oluwaseun Olorunfemi, a 400-level medical student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, has died after being in coma for six days.

Olorunfemi was hit by a vehicle on his way to medical posting and was rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTHC).

At the hospital, Olurunfemi laid in coma until he gave up the ghost on Sunday, December 25.

According to an OAU student who spoke to TheCable Lifestyle, the driver who hit Olorunfemi didn’t wait to admit his deed but fled the scene after running over the victim.

Olurunfemi until his untimely death was the Choir coordinator of Deeper Life Christian Fellowship (DLCF). His colleagues have all been thrown into a state of mourning since the unfortunate incident.

The deceased was reportedly a distinction student in the college of health sciences.

Candlelight procession and burial service arrangement would be communicated soon.
