Woman Arrested For Pouring Nail Polish Remover In Stepdaughter’s Milk

AndreaAndrea Vazquez-Hernandez, a 36-year-old woman in Carol Stream, Illinois, was accused of pouring nail polish remover into her 17-month-old stepdaughter’s feeding bottle and has been charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of domestic battery.
According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney in Illinois, Police say they were called to the Vazquez-Hernandez’s home by the infant’s father on May 29th about a child who may have ingested nail polish remover.

Investigators, who spoke with the victim’s father, allegedly said that he had tried to feed his daughter milk in a bottle but that she immediately spat it out.
He said the child started acting strangely. He had to immediately rush his daughter to the hospital where several tests were performed on her and all results came back normal.

Investigators say that at some point earlier in the day the Vazquez-Hernandez allegedly added approximately one-inch of nail polish remover to her stepdaughter’s baby bottle.
